Jahbw

Jah Grey

Photographer, Men Who Take Baths: 2019, 2020

Jah is a self-taught photographic artist primarily focused on portraiture who began his career in 2014. His photographs are situated in the resistance of the ideology of hyper-masculinity and heavily focused on creating spaces that are culturally sensitive, transformative, and accessible. Jah’s work adds new perspectives around masculinity by breaking free from unhealthy expectations of traditional masculinity through the lens of a black transman. His photographs and video installation have been shown across Ontario - including in the Museum Of Contemporary Art Toronto Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Art Gallery of Burlington. He’s also had amazing opportunities to show works across America - including at the Ford Foundation Gallery in New York City and in Los Angeles, the National Day of Healing hosted by Ava Duvernay at her ARRAY HQ, and most recently, in Singapore.

Nicolle Hodges

Founder, Host of Men Who Take Baths

Nicolle Hodges is a journalist and author whose first book, Oh, the Places You’ll Go Oh Oh raised over $10,000 in pre-sales. A renowned public speaker, Nicolle is the voice of Sexual Health Week 2021 at colleges across Canada. She is the founder of Girls Who Say Fuck, an incubator for ideas that instigate change, including the wildly popular campaign to rebrand virginity to sexual debut. Recently, Nicolle launched a series of workshops and online gatherings to teach women the basics of BDSM power dynamics. These and other projects, including Men Who Take Baths, fall under the umbrella of Expletive Media — a branding agency co-founded by Nicolle.

She studied broadcast journalism and communications at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and was an on-air talent and producer at CTV Vancouver until 2018. During her tenure at CTV, she reported from Lesbos, Greece, where she started an art camp for kids at the peak of the refugee crisis. When Nicolle left her career in television, she began telling stories from the frontlines of cannabis legalization in Canada as the culture editor of Herb—the largest cannabis publication in North America. She continues to work on the vanguard of drug policy and culture as an independent journalist for Double Blind and an on-camera host for The Dales Report, where she interviews the top CEOs of emerging psychedelics companies. In fall 2021, Nicolle begins her BA in Psychology at York University. She is simultaneously pursuing a certification in nonviolent communication, as well as somatic sex educator training. She currently lives in Toronto with her hairless cat, Brain (not Brian). To follow Nicolle’s adventures, and read the stories that come of it, find her on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Taylor

Taylor Oakes

Photographer, 2020/2021

"Tiny Taylor" has been capturing content that the internet loves to hate for over a decade - specifically anything to do with sex, substances, or science. Taylor’s portrait work focuses on energy exchange and has provided her an invitation to witness intensely intimate moments. Her clients are the healers and the healing; sex workers, kinky, and queer humans that want to be seen exactly as they are in all of their raw humanity. You can find her now where you would have found her in the Before Times: behind a screen, getting kicked off platforms for refusing to accept censorship.

Flynn2

Flynn Skidmore

Men's group facilitator; psychotherapist

Flynn is a psychotherapist who works with people who’ve experienced trauma and are seeking growth and transformation as a result. Flynn sees an individual’s health as the product of complex dynamics between biology, psychology, social structures, and universal phenomena like quantum physics. He asks questions like: How are cellular function and black holes related? How have love and consciousness worked together to co-evolve? Is there a purpose to life beyond giving and receiving love? Of course, with questions like these, Flynn is passionate about the use of psychedelics and plant medicine to contribute to healing and evolution.

Flynn completed his Masters in Applied Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Coherence Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Organic Intelligence, Unified Science, and more. He sees our current form of masculinity as the most significant impediment to a safe and loving world. He wants to be part of the co-creation of the new masculinity; a version that contributes to us all having more access to the life we desire, where we feel love, safety, and belonging. Flynn wants that co-creation to include a variety of voices and identities.
